Thank you for choosing to shop at Grapethings.co.uk, by accessing this website or using our services you agree to these terms and conditions, if you do not agree with these terms then you have the right to not use this site or related services.

Grape Things may change these terms and conditions at any time. We may also update, alter, change or correct the Grape Things website or services at any time and without notice. You agree to be bound by such alterations. In addition, when you use any current or future Grape Things service you will also be subject to the guidelines and conditions applicable to that service.

IMAGES

Grape Things has taken great care in presenting its product-images as accurately as possible. However the images you see whist Internet shopping will depend on your monitor capabilities, therefore we are unable to guarantee that the images you see are an accurate representation of the actual merchandise.

ACCEPTANCE OF YOUR ORDER

After placing your online order you will receive an email acknowledging the details of your order, this is not confirmation or acceptance of your order.

Order acceptance and completion of the transaction between you and Grape Things will take place when your order is dispatched unless you have cancelled your order in accordance with the order cancellation instructions.

Non-acceptance of your order may occur if:

  • The product you ordered is out of stock
  • Your payment not being authorised
  • Pricing or product error
  • Grape Things cannot dispatch goods due to situations beyond our control (e.g. acts of god, civil commotion, riots, flood, draught, fire)
  • Suspicion of credit card fraud or similar
  • Failure to meet eligibility criteria as set out in these terms and conditions

Grape Things will notify you if your order has not been accepted.

You may place your order by phone between the hours of 10 am to 3pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 10am – 1pm.  Please call + 44 (0) 844 549 9035.

ORDER CANCELLATION

Grape Things are happy to accept any order cancellation received within 7 working days.  You can cancel your order immediately before dispatch - or you have 7 working days, starting the day after your order is dispatched, in which to notify us of your wish to cancel and return the order to us.

If your order has been dispatched and you have notified us that you wish to cancel and we do not receive your cancelled order within 7 working days we will assume that you no longer wish to cancel.  After this time you may request a refund in accordance with our refund instructions.

Goods should remain unused and undamaged.

Your cancelled order will remain in your possession until we receive it. 

It is your responsibility to ensure returned goods reach us in good condition.

ALL CANCELLED ORDERS RECEIVED WITHIN 7 WORKINGS DAYS WILL BE ISSUED WITH A REFUND TOTALLING THE TOTAL COST OF ORDER RECEIVED.

We endeavour to dispatch orders immediately so it may not always be possible to stop your order going out before we receive your notice to cancel. If your order has already been dispatched we will issue you with the relevant returns form in accordance with our returns policy.

Please note your right to cancel does not apply to certain products:

  • Special Order items and items that you have requested specifically that we may not normally stock – you will be issued with a credit note.

PAYMENT METHOD

We accept all major credit cards

  • Pay Pal
  • Personal Cheque (goods will not be dispatched until cleared funds have been received)
  • Bankers Cheque (goods will not be dispatched until cleared funds have been received)

PRICING

All prices quoted on grapethings.co.uk are in £ Sterling and are inclusive of VAT at the rate of 17.5%, where applicable prices may change and offers may be withdrawn at anytime.

PRICING ERRORS

In the event that there is a pricing error on the website or any service then www.grapethings.co.uk will not be bound to honor any orders made at that price.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

All products are subject to availability. If an item is likely to be sold out for more than 1 week it will be marked temporarily out of stock. Prices or products may change from time to time. If due to unforeseen circumstances it is necessary to substitute an item, the item will be replaced with an item of equal or greater value of which it replaces.

SPECIAL ORDER

Special order items are marked as such and require payment in full at the time of order. It is important to note
that special order items can take up to 28 days for delivery. Unless faulty or damaged we do not offer refunds on special order items, refund is by way of credit note.

DELIVERY

UK mainland

All orders will require a signature upon receipt. As standard we aim to dispatch in 1-2 days however, please allow 3-5 days in busier periods (excludes special order items and hampers).

Orders placed and received before 12pm will be dispatched using our next day service and will arrive between the hours of 9am - 5pm next day. Excludes orders placed on Saturday and Sunday’s.

Because of circumstances outside of our control, we are not responsible for non–delivery or delay in delivery (even if a surcharge has been made for a guaranteed delivery time).

UK Mainland Street – Standard. (3–5 days):

£3.95 standard delivery charge
For orders of £50 and over delivery is free

Non-mainland UK including Northern Ireland, Europe and the rest of the world may be subject to additional charges, you will be notified at the time of order.

Large bulky and special order items may be subject to additional carriage charges and delivery times may vary, you will be notified of this once we receive your order.

We dispatch goods in a swift and timely fashion. We will contact you (usually before dispatch) if we know your order is likely to be delayed.

IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR (CONFIRMED AS DISPATCHED) ORDER AFTER 5 DAYS PLEASE CONTACT US.

Grape Things will not accept liability nor accept any claim for loss, damage or shortcomings unless we receive notification within 7 days of confirmed dispatch. We will only issue refunds/replacements for items reported as not received/lost 15 days after dispatch date.

FAILURE TO TAKE RECEIPT OF GOODS

All orders will require a signature upon receipt. If you fail to take receipt of your order resulting in your order being returned to us, we will refund your order less the postage charge.

INCORRECT POSTAL ADDRESS

Grape Things will dispatch orders to the postal address as supplied by the buyer. Grape Things will not be held liable or offer/honour any refund or replacement for any order that has not been received due to an order going to a wrong address owing to the address supplied being incorrect or an old address.

MESSAGE WRITING

We offer message writing free of charge.

Should you wish to include a message with your order, you will have the option to include a note at the check out. If placing your order over the phone, please inform the operator at the time of ordering.

COLLECTIONS

It may be possible to collect your order (free of postage costs) by prior arrangement, please call to confirm before placing your order.

DAMAGED OR MISSING ITEMS

Grape Things will not accept liability for loss, damage or shortcomings unless we receive notification within 7 days starting the day after your order has been dispatched.

Grape Things will not accept any claim for loss, damage or shortcomings that should be apparent at delivery (for example if you have ordered glassware and upon its delivery you can see/hear that it is damaged – DO NOT ACCEPT THE ORDER).

If someone else is signing for your order on your behalf you agree to advise them that the goods must be checked and you accept full responsibility for any loss, damage or shortcoming if they sign on your behalf and fail to check.

We will only issue refunds/replacements for items reported as not received/lost 15 days after dispatch date.

STEMWARE REPLACEMENT AND POSTAL BREAKAGE’S

If you purchase stemware from us and break them within 12 months of purchase, you’re welcome to purchase replacements at half the price. 

This does not include postage and is only available on like for like products of the same value. 

This benefit is extended to Riedel and Dartington Stemware only.  So if you spend £20 on a box of glasses and break one you can purchase back that box for £10 plus postage.  You can only do this once within your 12 month period.  The only thing we ask it that you email us a photo of the broken stemware along with your original order reference number (if you have it) and we’ll organise the rest.

Your 12 month period starts from the day of purchase.  We reserve the right to remove this benefit at any time.

In the event that you receive your stemware order from us and its broken - just email us a photo of the breakage and we’ll replace the broken item straightaway.

OUR REFUND AND RETURN POLICY

Unwanted goods may be returned for an exchange or refund if returned in its original saleable condition within 7 working days starting the day after dispatch.

Unless stated otherwise, refunds will be made by the original payment method within 3 days of us receiving your return.

WE DO NOT REFUND POSTAGE.

Exclusions:

If an item is returned after the 7 – day return period, refunds may be issued by way of credit note only.

  • Except where goods are faulty, special offer, discounted and sale – goods may only be returned for exchange or refund by way of credit note. SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS AND HAMPERS ARE NOT RETURNABLE OR REFUNDABLE.
  • Where a charge has been made for gift-wrap, refunds/cancellations may be given minus the cost of gift – wrap, tags and the cost wrapping each item.
  • The delivery of goods to you is deemed to be a separate contract for services, distinct from your contract to purchase goods therefore we do not refund delivery costs.

RETURNS INSTRUCTION

Your order will remain in your possession until we receive it. It is your responsibility to ensure returned goods reach us in good condition.

If you would like to return your order in accordance with our cancellation or refund policy, please;

Contact us via email, phone or in writing in the first instance so we can authorise your return

Once we receive your notification we will issue you with the relevant returns form unique to your order, to be included with your return.

Package the merchandise to prevent damage, enclosing the returns form. Attach the returns label and send the merchandise back using registered post or another secured method retaining any receipts until you have received your credit.

We suggest that you take out carrier insurance because if the goods do not arrive in re-saleable condition no refund will be made.

Please do not write on product packaging as it will affect its re-saleable condition and no refund will be made.

NB: Return costs are not pre-paid, postage or other return costs are the customers responsibility, and will be reimbursed by us only in the case off damaged, faulty or incorrectly sent goods.

THIRD PARTY SELLING

Grape Things may make its services available through other third party web sites, where applicable these services will be subject to separate terms and conditions as set out by Grape Things and will available to view on those sites. In the event that no terms and conditions are apparent than those terms and conditions as set out on grapethings.co.uk will apply, our price promise is not extended to items made available on third party sites.

Any discounts, promotions and pricing may be reserved for grapethings.co.uk and its services and may not apply to third party websites and visa versa.

EXTERNAL SITES

This site may contain links to other sites on the Internet that are owned and operated by third party vendors (external sites). Grape Things is not responsible for the availability of, or the content located on or through, any external site, nor for any transactions between you and such sites (including as to ‘cookies’, personal data, confidential information, or purchases of goods or services). You should contact the site administrator or Webmaster for those external sites if you have any concerns regarding such links, content or transactions.

PUBLICATION OF COMMENTS ONLINE

You agree that we can publish any comments that you send to us concerning the quality of our service or products on our website. We may use your name and town of residence, we will not publish your email address, telephone number, website address or street address.

Grape Things operates with honesty and integrity, we aim to exceed our customer expectations as often as possible. However there may be rare occasions when a customer feels that they have not been treated fairly. If this is the case you agree that before posting any negative comments on any website, newsgroup, blog or other online resource you agree to write to the customer services manager explaining the problem and allow us 14 days to investigate and resolve the problem and/or respond in writing. If you are still unsatisfied then you agree to include the customer services reply in any online publication you make, to provide any readers with a balanced view.

Grape Things collects the details provided by you upon signing up to our newsletter. We also collect the information provided to us by third parties i.e. PayPal in regards to your order details.

We may collect additional information in connection with your participation in any promotions or competitions offered by us, and information you provide when giving us feedback or comments in regards to our services or products.

Use of your information

We will only use your information to communicate with you in regards to pending/existing orders transactions. Or to update you with offers and news about Grape Things products and services or those of other carefully selected companies that we think may be of interest to you. Please note that there may be instances where it may be necessary for us to communicate with you, in any event, for administrative or operational reasons relating to our service.

Disclosures of your information

Your information may be passed to and used by all Grape Things companies. We will never pass on your personal data to anyone else, except to any successors in title to our business and suppliers that process data on our behalf both in the UK and abroad. We may also use and disclose information in aggregate (so that no individual customers are identified) for marketing and strategic development purposes.

This web site may contain links to other web sites which are outside of our control and are not covered by this Privacy Policy. If you access other sites using the links provided, the operators of these sites may collect information from you that will be used by them in accordance with their privacy policy, which may differ from ours.

GENERAL

We are closed on bank holidays including Good Friday, Easter Monday, May bank holidays, August bank holidays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, re-opening the Monday of the second week in January. WE DO NOT DISPATCH GOODS ON THESE DAYS.

It may not be possible to cancel gift-wrap orders that affect the re-saleable condition of the order.
